yooo i'm back in town! well, hello to all of you viewers who don't really exist. My first term is coming to it's end and in 5 days, precisely, I will be back home. Anyways, here are some doodles from sketchbook:

Joni Mitchell is one of my favourites and I have always been in love with this black and white photoshoot. Logically, I decided to do a simplified caricature of her. very clean, very simple, almost in the style of "Ladies of the Canyon"

Ok, so yes, I am aware I didn't keep my promise and once again I stopped updating. Anyway, here are some quick sketches and doodles I did after beginning my course at AUB. A lot of things happened since then, I can't believe how much everything changed. Still rewarding, though.

so I finally managed to connect my printer to my laptop which made it much more easier for me to scan things. I made these a couple of days ago, they're no more than 3/4 minutes each. Despite that I think the last two are much better than the rest since I tried to put some more character and appeal in them.

Ok, so my brother made me do a portrait of him and his girlfriend and I wasn't feeling like doing a big rendering so I decided to use simple tools: Black fineliner, coloring pencils when needed  and watercolours, those three always end up looking fairly good together. This was the result:

Truth is it could have turned out way better but i'm no expert in this medium (watercolour). I'm satisfied with the achievement, though.

long time no see

I can't grasp the fact that I completely gave up on this blog. Jeez...truth be told I was actually expecting that to happen but beware my friends cause I am back in the atmosphere!

These past few months have been flowing like birds in the sky (what type of analogy is this?!) Anyways, let's get back to real stuff. I got in at AUB which was a definite victory for me, what an accomplishment! I'm quite scared of leaving my country and my friends and family behind but i'm also sure that great things lie ahead and that's where I have to aim for, i'm also pretty sure that I won't forget about this place (who would?) or my friends, (ALSO, WHO WOULD?) they're the best bunch of people I have ever met in my entire life, they arouse everything good in me and i'm so thankful for the strength they have given me throughout this whole thing. It's been crazy and i'll sure miss them like crazy.

It's amazing, life throws so many pebbles at us, they jump up and down and sometimes it's hard to keep up, everything is always so surprising. Sometimes I find myself feeling sad about things and about life and the hard situation of going away but then something both chilling and thrilling happens and suddenly I don't know where the hell I am. (like the other day but i'll tell you about that some other time)

I want to make the best of the time I've still got before being away for 3 months so I decided to start posting things on this place once again! I won't lie to you and say how much work I've been doing because I would be lying HOWEVER I've been working on this thing that my brother asked me to do for him, it's a bit out of my comfort zone, much fun nonetheless. It's a watercolour portrait of him and his girlfriend. It's still on the make but if all goes working to the plan it might be finished tomorrow or the day after. (I'll show some pictures then)

Hey everyone! here's a quickie from a few weeks ago. They're probably 3 minutes each and as you can see the one in the bottom right corner looks really bad.  Anyways, here it is: 

February has only started a week ago but I can already feel the pressure of all these school assignments. I've got a film, which combines animation and live action, to make. It's going to be craaaaaaaaazy trying to get that done, specially because I've never in my life tried animating! However, I think it's going to be fun (and a little nerve wracking but mostly fun). And i'm also in the middle of a project for my arts workshop class. That's also nerve wracking because it's due in two weeks. Have I got the time?...we shall see. 

Here it is. My first post since my last post...yea.   To tell you the truth, lately, I haven't been very prolific. With all these college applications stuff my mind has officially become drained so I haven't had as much time to draw as I used to and when I do I just plug in the blogging, tv, eating and watching movies mode, which sounds good but in reality is not that great. 

Anyways, there you go:

My blog returned to dust and today it is resurrected! From today on I will only be making posts regarding my sketch dumps. Join me in this adventure!
